The hubby and I managed to squeeze in a spring hike at Chester Creek last weekend while in Duluth visiting family. It was a bit of an effort as the trail was shear ice in the shady spots, which put both of us into some pretty hilarious situations and by the end of it we were both sweating profusely. Such a refreshing hike and a much needed breath of fresh air for both of us.
A few weeks ago, my son and I took a mini-city adventure to Minnehaha Falls. It was pretty cool. We very carefully climbed the slippery, snow packed rocks to go behind the frozen falls. Here is what we saw!
p.s. the terrain down there is pretty treacherous climb up to the falls at your own risk.
It may be a bit chilly out there, but it sure is beautiful!
Finally we have some decent snow! The kid and I took the opportunity today to throw on some snow shoes and hit the trail! Here's a quick shot of some of the beauty we saw today!
