The fam and I took a much needed break yesterday and today and headed North to Jay Cook State Park to catch the fall colors at their height of glory! I’ll put more photos up later, but I just had to throw one online right away. When we stepped onto this trail I felt as if we were stepping into some sort of magical world. Bear with me as I try to describe this, but as we walked over the crunchy blanket of leaves beneath our feet, surrounded by a golden canopy of leaves still clinging to their branches, while still more floated to the ground all around us; I truly felt at peace. I apologize for my attempt at being poetic, but you’ll just have to trust me… it was magical.
