Today my son and I took a trip to the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary. We have lived by this place for three years now and in that time we have, driven by it, biked by it, walked by it, even skied through it during the City of Lakes Loppet. Today we finally went inside to check out the spring wildflowers. I have heard that this place is a hidden gem and I would agree. As we stepped inside, my four year old instantly became quiet (no small feat for my chatterbox) so that he would disturb the creatures. We didn't see many birds because we made a little noise and moved a lot but we saw a lot of pretty little pops of color that were the wildflowers.
